Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she was just five, she moved to Oxfordshire and attended at the Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma realized that she was going to become an actress. Over a number of years she was a student at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied singing dancing and acting. At the age of 10, she had appeared and played as the main character in several Stagecoach performances and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) is the movie adaptation from J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel was first cast for the first time in 1999. Emma was discovered by agents via the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint of their auditions after eight. They were selected as three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's debut film on the screen came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone made in 2001. The film set records for its opening and weekend ticket revenues, and it also became the most successful 2001 film. The film received praise from experts, as was the performance of three young actors. The Daily Telegraph, a frequently read British publication, has praised Emma for her exceptional performance. Emma received the Young Artist Award as the Leading Young Actress for part of a feature Film. Emma was recognized five times in recognition of her part in the film.
